Music has the power to ignite memory — a melodic vessel carrying snapshots of our life’s most intimate and sacred moments. Whether it’s an evocative song, illustrating your heart’s emotions or a nostalgic tune that allows feelings to flow, music can be a mirrored companion to our grieving experiences.

On Saturday, May 25th 12-6pm A Resting Place will be hosting its first Memory Mixtape gathering: a day of honoring deceased loved ones through live DJ sets. ARP has invited four of our dear friends @thanhtan @daps1 @sabaidi.ana @prometheusbrown to each share a set list in memory of a person or people that have passed away in their life. ARP is filled with adoration and excitement to have these DJs share their songs of remembrance with you all! Shout out to @seavinylsociety!

ABOUT THE BASH: Each year, the Seattle Chinatown Preservation and Development Authority (SCIDpda) hosts the SCIDpda Bash to foster social connection and activate a unique space in the neighborhood. This year the event will take place in the courtyard of International District Village Square I (IDVS1), a mixed-use development project that is the current home to an assisted living and senior services facility, a healthcare provider, and a local Filipino American restaurant. Completed in 1998, IDVS is SCIDpda's first development project built from the ground up — a precursor to SCIDpda's future affordable housing and community development projects in the area.
