This is a fun and creative art class for Vietnamese-speaking children ages 5 to 10. Students will have the opportunity to draw using oil pastels on paper, learn drawing basics, and pick up new vocabulary. Students will be drawing a variety of subjects, from still-life and landscapes to imaginative scenes. Learning art at a young age will allow children to acquire skills that are applicable to many areas of life, from creative thinking to visual communication. Children will also be able to better share ideas and exercise their imagination. __________ Đây là một lớp học vẽ dành cho các bé biết nói tiếng Việt từ 5 đến 10 tuổi. Các học sinh sẽ được sử dụng màu sáp dầu để vẽ lên giấy, học cách vẽ cơ bản, và biết thêm từ vựng. Học sinh sẽ được vẽ nhiều chủ đề khác nhau, từ tĩnh vật và phong cảnh đến vẽ tranh từ trí tưởng tượng. Học vẽ từ độ tuổi nhỏ sẽ giúp các bé phát triển những năng khiếu cần thiết để sử dụng trong các hoạt động khác, như cách suy nghĩ sáng tạo và giao tiếp qua nghệ thuật. Các bé còn có thể mạnh dạng chia sẻ ý tưởng hơn và phát triển một trí tưởng tượng phong phú.

This AANHPI Heritage Month, learn about Asian American history through the new children’s book An Asian American A to Z by authors Cathy Linh Che and Kyle Lucia Wu.
