Celebrate Little Saigon

Celebrate Little Saigon

Little Saigon is the social, economic, and cultural hub of the Vietnamese community in the Puget Sound region. In the 40+ years since the first group of Vietnamese businesses took root in this area, Little Saigon has become a vibrant and vital part of the Vietnamese community as well as the Chinatown-International District.

Due to the lack of public gathering spaces in the neighborhood, community members were itching for opportunities to socialize and celebrate the rich Little Saigon culture. Hence, the creation of Celebrate Little Saigon, an outdoor food event that celebrates Vietnamese cuisine and culture happening in late July/early August. This event was created to highlight and support the local businesses, bring together Vietnamese artists and performers, and carve out space for community gathering.

Today, Celebrate Little Saigon is not just another street festival. The event spotlights specific Vietnamese cuisine and culture to create a more unique experience for the community and visitors. Since 2016, we have had themes that showcase Vietnamese coffee or Cafe Sua Da, Banh Mi Fest, FestiRoll, and Ragin Viet-Cajun!

This event is hosted by the Friends of Little Saigon and Little Saigon businesses. Keep an eye out for the latest food theme!
